Journal of Innovation in Science, Engineering and Technology
Author guidelines
Editorial process
All submissions to Journal of Innovation in Science, Engineering and Technology (JISET) undergo a peer review process and require final approval by the Editorial Board. Articles are generally reviewed externally using the single-blind method, in which authors are unaware of the reviewers' and editors' identities. The Editor-in-Chief and Journal Manager implement a rapid evaluation system, and only a limited number of manuscripts proceed to full external peer review. This streamlined workflow allows authors to quickly redirect their work to a more suitable journal if necessary, minimizing delays.
Submission check list
Structure guidelines:

- Title page: Ensure all required information aligns with the instructions for authors.
 - Formatting: Follow the journal's formatting guidelines carefully.
 - Language quality: Professional language editing is strongly recommended prior to submission.
 - Data accuracy: Authors are advised to thoroughly verify the accuracy of all data presented.
 - Author approval: Confirm that all listed authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript before submission.
 - Author details: Complete author information to be included on the title page.
 - Cover letter: Include a cover letter that introduces your manuscript, highlights its significance, and explains why it is appropriate for publication at this time.

Preparation of manuscript
Submission guidelines for JISET,
Manuscripts must be submitted in English (UK) only. JISET does not charge any fees for manuscript submission. An article processing charge (APC) applies only to accepted manuscripts.
By submitting a manuscript, authors affirm that the work is original and has not been previously published or concurrently submitted elsewhere, except in abstract form. The authors bear full responsibility for the content of the manuscript.
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review. Manuscripts will be reviewed by at least two subject matter experts. In cases where reviewer opinions conflict, the manuscript will be evaluated by a third reviewer before a final decision is made. Reviewer comments will be shared with the authors, who are expected to submit revised manuscripts within three weeks of receiving the feedback.
Authors are required to suggest three potential referees, providing their full names, postal addresses, and email contacts. However, the editorial team reserves the right to select reviewers independently of the authors’ suggestions.
Manuscripts should be typed in Times New Roman, font size 12, and double-spaced throughout, including the title page, abstract, main text, references, and tables. Latin names should include the authority upon first mention in the text. All abbreviations must be fully spelled out at their first appearance in both the abstract and the main text.
JISET is a peer-reviewed, open-access publication dedicated to publishing high-quality research in innovation across science, engineering, and technology in the context of higher education. All submitted articles are thoroughly screened and evaluated by an internal and external panel of reviewers approved by the editorial board.
Manuscript categories
Article types accepted by JISET:
- Original research articles: Articles which represent in-depth research in various scientific disciplines. Original research articles must include the following sections: Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion. All references should be formatted according to the JISET "Guidelines for the Preparation of Manuscripts.". Submissions based on observational research must include documentation of all necessary approvals (e.g., ethical clearance or research committee approval), clearly stating the approving authority’s name. Submissions lacking required approvals may not be considered for review.
 - Review articles: These should follow Cochrane standards for systematic reviews. The manuscript must include a clearly defined research question, detailed methodology for identifying, selecting, and critically appraising relevant studies, and methods for data collection and analysis. Use of statistical tools for meta-analysis is optional. These reviews must go beyond narrative summaries, offering structured, evidence-based synthesis.
 - Correspondence: Correspondence will be accepted regarding one or more articles in the preceding two issues of the Journal, as well as Letters to the Editor. Articles covering important scientific events or any other news of interest to scientists, reviews of books of scientific nature, articles presenting views on issues related to science and scientific activity will also be considered. Publication will be made at the discretion of the Editor-in Chief. Maximum number of words is 1,500 including Figures, Tables and References. A Table/Figure occupying half a page will be considered as 400 words. Letters should respond to articles published in the journal (within 12 months of their publication). Authors of the referenced articles will be invited to respond. Letters must present a clear and concise message for readers and be no longer than 500 words, including any references. Letters may be edited for clarity and brevity and are published at the discretion of the Editor.
 - Case reports: Authors are advised to submit case reports which are often specialized in in medicine, radiology, or other health sciences. Authors should follow specific guidelines, such as CARE guidelines , https://www.care-statement.org/ .

Abstract should be in a single paragraph with short sentence. It should not be done with any type of subheading or point list, and it should not be written with any type of non-standard abbreviations. If the authors feel that it is essential to include the abbreviations, they must be defined at their first mention in the abstract itself.
Introduction
Introduction includes concepts, hypothesis and related literature survey, research requirement, selected problem of the research. Reference citation [1] can be done and should be included for showing the existing importance of current work. This section should be brief, with no subheadings unless unavoidable. State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background related to your work, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.
