About This Journal
Journal of Innovation in Science, Engineering and Technology (JISET) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access publication dedicated to publishing high-quality research and advances across the fields of science, engineering, and technology. Our goal is to provide a reputable platform for researchers, practitioners, and academics to share innovative ideas, practical solutions, and interdisciplinary findings that contribute to technological progress and sustainable development worldwide.
JISET follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure integrity, transparency, and ethical publishing standards.
Journal History
Previously published as the CINEC Academic Journal (CAJ), this publication is the official academic journal of CINEC Campus, Sri Lanka. Under its former title, the first volume was in 2017, marking the formal establishment under ISSN 2386‑1665. The journal was an indexed, refereed, peer-reviewed, open-access platform committed to the dissemination of high-quality scholarly research across a broad spectrum of academic disciplines. These included Humanities and Education, Social Sciences, Business and Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Health and Medical Sciences, as well as Maritime Science and Marine Engineering. The journal expanded its publication into two volumes per year since 2021 and continued as a semi-annual publication.
All submissions for the CAJ underwent a rigorous review process, conducted by a panel of qualified internal and external reviewers. This panel was formally appointed and approved by the editorial board to ensure adherence to the highest academic and ethical standards.
Our journey has been defined by an unwavering commitment to quality research, rigorous peer review, and the advancement of knowledge across diverse academic fields. CAJ was recognized by the National Science Foundation (NSF) of Sri Lanka and acknowledged for its academic excellence and integrity. Additionally, the journal was listed on the Sri Lanka Journals Online (SLJOL) platform, further affirming its standing within the scholarly community. In 2024, CINEC Academic Journal (CAJ) ceased publication as plans were made to rebrand and relaunch the journal under a new name, Journal of Innovation in Science, Engineering and Technology (JISET), which now serves as the official publication of CINEC Campus. The rebranded journal’s aims and scope have been expanded to encompass a wider range of disciplines within science, engineering, and technology. The first issue of JISET, labelled Volume 7, Issue 1, was published in December 2025. Digital Archiving
The journal's content is preserved in two reputable digital archives, CLOCKSS and Portico, to ensure long-term access. All articles are assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) via CrossRef, providing a persistent link to the content.
Publishing Schedule
JISET began publishing in the second half of 2025, with the first (and only) issue of that year released in December. Starting in 2026, the journal publishes two regular issues per calendar year (June and December).
Language
JISET publishes articles exclusively in English, serving a global academic audience and ensuring broad accessibility and scholarly impact.

Open Access, Licensing, and Fees
This is an open access journal, and all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing free use, sharing, and reproduction with proper attribution. Publication fees will be charged to authors upon acceptance of their article(s) (USD100 for authors from Asia and USD250 for others). There are no submission fees involved.
